I Hope You Dance

I hope you never ever lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat but always keep that hunger

I will remember to keep my hunger for things that are not of this world.

May you enver take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty-handed
I hope you still feel small when you stand beside the ocean

I want to get out there, where the mountains and oceans are.

Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens

I believe the door behind me has closed.
But I also see a door opening ahead of me.

Promise me that you'll give faith a fighting chance

If there's one thing I will never let go of, it's my faith.

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance

And I know that I shall always dance.

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance

It's the very path I am walking right now,
The road less travelled.

Living might mean taking chances, but they're worth taking
