Quoted

"God knows that I could very well just turn around and abandon Him at any point of time, and hurt Him again and again. He probably knows that the world thinks He's an idiot for accepting me back again and again even though I keep ending up hurting Him. But guess what? That's the great thing about Him and that's the reason why I love Him as my Lord and Saviour - He doesn't give up on me."
- Heian Edenwood

Thanks for the email dude.
It came really timely.
And I love this quote, so I'm posting it here :)
Hope you don't mind!

B-U-S-Y

Oh goodness gracious me I open my mailbox and find this email from Kornelius.

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.
In his opening address he said, "We can't keep Christians from going to church. We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth. We can't even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their saviour. Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken. So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners. BUT steal their time, so they don't have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ..."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil,
"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!"

'How shall we do this?' his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds," he answered, "Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow."

"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles. Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work! Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice."

"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive; to keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly. This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers."
"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."
"Invade their driving moments with billboards. Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes."

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what's important, and they'll become dissatisfied with their wives."
"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night."
"Give them headaches too!"
"If they don't give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere. That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas. Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."
"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead. Keep them busy, busy, busy!"
"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus. Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause."
"It will work!"
"It will work!"

It was quite a plan! The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there. Having little time for their God or their families. Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives. I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes? You be the judge!!!!!
Does 'BUSY' mean:
B-eing
U-nder
S-atan's
Y-oke?

*beep*

Please leave a message after the beep.

Imma blob.
Imma fish in the sea.
Feeling so lazy.
It's funny how you can be walking right one day and screwing up the next.

Well I ought not be overly surprised.
After all, we are living in enemy territory.

Whatever it is, I am determined to accomplish what I've set out to do.
*rawr*
Hear my war cry.
Haha :)

Note to Sebastz

Hey Sebastz, have you realised it yet?
The things that really matter in this lifetime are the things that will actually matter in eternity.

"I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind."
Ecclesiastes 1:14

Interesting book, Ecclesiastes.
Anyway, I think it's not too hard to identify a few things that people chase after that appear to be so important, but actually are not.
Why don't you start the list?

Wall*E

Captain: Out there is our home - Home, AUTO! - and it's in trouble. I can't just sit here and do nothing. That's all I've ever done! That's all anyone has ever done on this blasted ship - nothing!
AUTO: In space we will survive.
Captain: I don't want to survive, I want to live!
-Wall.E

Are you living or just surviving?

I don't want this holiday to go by just like that.
Every moment is precious.
Every second is a gift.
I want to make a difference with this one and a half months I have away from school.
Even if I'm not getting my heart's desire.
Even if things aren't turning out the way I want them to.
No matter.
The will is stronger.
The will that Jesus shall be my Lord.

Breathing and Living

You know you're living on nothing when
everything that matters has been taken away from you.

Either that or you're living on Jesus.

Time does an involuntary thing called passing.
My body does an involuntary thing called breathing.
So the wounds that I thought were bleeding so bad I'll fall and never get back up start to heal.
And spring comes again after the harshest winter by far.
The wildflowers are starting to blossom; the field's looking pretty again.
The sun's shining, and a sliver of hope falls at my feet from between the storm clouds, which the winds are blowing away.

I walked off this cliff awhile ago, I'm not sure when.
Sometime between A levels and my dance audition at LASALLE.
Or it might have been earlier.
Might've been the day I first heard what they call the sinners' prayer and repeated it with tears running down my cheeks.
Might've been the day I first heard the name Jesus from the preacher's lips and decided I wanted him in my life, whoever he is.
Might've been the day I got hit by the car.
How was I to know that as I got up and walked home, my life would change forever?

Little moments here and there.
They make you know life's precious, for sure.
Not just cause other people tell you so.
You know it, for real.
Deep, deep, deep down inside of you.
Experiential knowledge.

Ratatouille

"This is me. I think it's apparent that I need to rethink my life a little bit. What's my problem? First of all, I'm a rat. Which means, life is hard. Second, I have a highly developed sense of taste and smell."
Remy's opening line from Ratatouille

I liked this movie from the first time I watched it, but it's never meant so much to me before. Not till I heard this line as they played it at the Disney's specialty shop down at anchorpoint.

I know Remy's struggle! I know what it's like to be ultra hyper sensitive!
It's both a gift and a curse, depending on what you do with it.
People tag it on casually when describing someone's personality.
They don't realise the implications - how can they?

Every rose comes with thorns, every gift with a curse.
I may not now what yours is - it's probably different from mine - but we all have one for sure.
Learn how to wield it, and it's the best weapon (or tool, if you like, but I prefer to think of it as a sword :) you have in your hands.
Ignore it, and waste one of the greatest gift you'll ever get in this lifetime.
Use it carelessly, and you'll end up bringing harm - occasionally to others, but mostly to yourself.

Has anyone considered that all the untold pain and fears that we carry around with us, bundle up in the closet or sweep under the carpet might come from this - not knowing how to wield this razor-sharp sword we have?

Now might be a good time to re-examine your life and figure out how to use this gift properly :)

Hey Sebastz this verse is for you!

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
Matthew 6:19-21

My Everything

You know that you're no longer seeking godly things but God Himself when everything that matters to you has been taken away, but you're still clinging on to God.

Jesus, You're all that I have left.
