Went to watch The Dark Knight alone yesterday afternoon.
Don't ask me why I went alone; it's just one of those spur of the moment things that I like to do with my life. (like star-gazing by the pool, even taking a short nap out there with my bag as a pillow, and dancing at my lobby)
Anyway, I am certain I would require multiple posts to finish everything there is to be said about the movie. To sum it up in two words, LOVED IT.
I am so happy I went along with intuition (or prompting or feeling or whatever you call it) and popped by PS to check out the timings, which turned out to be just perfect! (is it just me or is there something almost divine about it?)
There was even enough time to drop by BK and the ladies', and when I entered, the adverts were, thankfully, still on. (don't you just hate missing the start?)
There was a group of people on my right, and another group on my left. My seat was splat alone in the middle of the two groups, which just might have looked a little strange. Anyone who can do simple math can tell that I was in the cinema alone.
I can almost imagine them, "What kind of a weirdo comes to the cinemas alone?"
The feeling was rather delicious.
I love it when people don't get it.
It makes the date so much more special.
Some people put their gods on the altar.
Some leave Him behind in church after service every Sunday.
Some find snippets of Him in their bibles and prayers.
I try to make Him a part of my life every day.
That includes bus rides, meetings, lessons and everything else in between.
Occasionally, I fancy a shopping trip or a like yesterday, a movie date.
He's always glad to oblige.
Don't get me wrong.
I never forget that He's King of the universe. (and He doesn't allow me to forget it either)
Isn't it cool how Jesus is all the way up there and yet so close down here, right next to you?
I could do this more often.
The cool bit is that He doesn't need a ticket :)
