The Savior's Call

There is a brokenness within us all that is untouchable.

He looks into your eyes and searches your soul. He sees your hurts.
He knows your pain better than anyone else.
When you were incapable of reaching out, He stretched out his hands on the tree to cover you.
The Savior's blood falling softly over your raw wounds.

You have been torn, and that's why you're here at His feet.
He mends the gashes and pieces you back together.

I have not known a life worth living, but He found me, and that changed.

Sometimes the air is too hard to breathe in; drawing in each quick, sharp gasp cuts through your lungs and reaches your heart.
Could anything devastate you more?
You're always left wondering.

All around, people call out your name;
a few familiar faces in the crowd,
you hear a few voices declaring love.
But your Savior calls, and his voice drowns out the rest.

I have not known light until I saw His eyes.
I have not known compassion until I felt His touch.
I have not known love until I heard His voice.
I have not known who I was until broken and weary, I collapsed at His feet, only to find myself in his embrace.

My dear Suen,
He loves you far more than you can imagine.
And even when the last wall of self-protection has fallen, when the tide stops coming in and every good memory has faded away, He stands true.

Your Lover calls
from distant shores;
Why do you not turn back?
